Tears of joy poured down my face

At the touch of God’s redeeming grace.

I’ve finally found a true resting place

In the depths of His sustaining grace.

Grace! Grace!

Humbled by Christ’s loving grace!

Grace! Yes, grace!

Born anew with His gift of grace!

How does one begin to tell

How cherished dreams just go to hell?

It's hard to maintain life support

When destiny works to cut you short.

Torn by anger, broken and alone,

I watched each effort sink like a stone.

Only then did I realize

How sin had left me compromised.

Then tears of joy rolled off my face

In the love of God’s embracing grace.

My pain was gone, without a trace,

Washed away by overflowing grace.

Grace! Oh, grace!

Exulting in Christ’s loving grace!

Grace! Yes, grace!

Born anew with His gift of grace!

Grace

There were times I knew for sure

That I would never find a cure

For the arrogance and pride

That muddled everything I tried.

But to even suggest some ancient creed

Could save my soul if I just believed

Seemed ludicrous beyond compare,

‘Til despair had me kneeling in prayer.

That’s when tears of joy fell down my face

In the arms of God’s forgiving grace,

Freed of all my shame and disgrace

By the power of His cleansing grace.

Grace! Oh, grace!

Comforted by Christ’s loving grace!

Grace! Yes, grace!

Born anew with His gift of grace!

To those intent to do life on their own,

I wish you well with the seeds you’ve sown.

Remember to keep an open mind,

So the lies of this world don’t leave you blind.

Sometimes answers may seem far away,

And time will grow shorter every day,

Just know salvation is ever near,

As I learned as His truth became oh so clear.

That’s when tears of joy poured down my face

In the heart of Christ’s saving grace,

Rest assured, through all time and space,

I will find my peace in eternal grace.

Grace! Oh, grace!

Humbled by Christ’s loving grace!

Grace! Yes, grace!

Born anew with His gift of grace!

Born anew in His gift, His gift, of grace!
